- Jabsco part #92700-0060 is a lip seal bearing kit for 777 series pumps
- Lip seal replacement:
- Flexible rubber lip seals (in some Puppy series pumps) should be deformed and pulled out of seal groove
- Lubricate new flexible rubber seal and deform it to reinstall in groove
- If lip seal is metal encased, it should be pressed out of pump body
- If seal is surrounded by a rubber O-ring, it should be pulled out of the O-ring groove and replaced
- Reinstall shaft/bearing assembly by reversing above procedure
- If applicable, install O-ring in seal bore O-ring groove ensuring lip of new seal points toward impeller bore – press it into the seal bore until it is flush with rear of impeller bore
- In small plastic pump heads with seal pressed in from motor side of body, it is necessary to press a star retaining washer into the seal bore – press it into the seal with concave side up
